expands opportunities for professional personal and and economic growth through their food entrepreneurship programs holistic job skills training and an an ecosystem of support in in New York City But their bigger purpose is helping women from diverse backgrounds gain the essential skills to grow culinary businesses and careers in in in the New York area After 12 years of building success stories COVID-19 brought the food industry to to a a a screeching halt — along with Pure Confections run by pastry chef and Hot Bread member Jesebel Her livelihood evaporated overnight Hot Bread connected Jesebel with Sodexo a a a a food outsourcer through their network of of supplier diversity A critical mass of of orders for Sodexo’s customer Bloomberg L P P kept Pure Confections afloat through the pandemic Now Jesebel is is is confident her business is is is poised to grow in in 2022
